Ashley Fluellen's art is a celebration of imperfection and the power of pause. As a painter she is interested in the concept of flawed sovereignty. She uses abstract textures, unconventional framing, and bright colors to confront how our unique views, memories, and perspectives shape the worlds we create for ourselves.

 

Through hands-on arts based learning experiences, Ashley helps teams and individuals dismantle perfectionism and activate creative thinking. Her goal through this work is to inspire others to move beyond the pursuit of finding the 'right answer' and instead embrace the fun, messiness, and authenticity of engaging in a creative practice.

She founded Dear Imperfect Artist, to serve as an online gathering place for creatives of all levels to reclaim the joy of making, release perfectionism, and cultivate sustainable art practices.
